Saturday 11, Sunday 12 and Monday 13 March is the stage for Grignolino: the noble rebel.
The event of AIS Piemonte, organized by the delegations of Asti and Casale Monferrato, with the contribution of the Consorzio Barbera d’Asti e vini del Monferrato, the Association of Producers of Grignolino d’Asti Doc and Piemonte Doc Grignolino, the Monferace Association, the Consorzio Colline del Monferrato Casalese, the Consorzio Gran Monferrato and the patronage of the Municipality of Grazzano Badoglio.
Many are the definitions that have been given to this vine throughout history. Two main concepts: its noble elegance and its rebellious and anarchic character.
Grignolino needed a voice and Ais has answered the call. The sommeliers of the two delegations will give it to them, who, at the tasting tables, will tell the story of Grignolino in all its nuances, between territories, winemaking styles and refinement.
The appointment is in Grazzano Badoglio, in via IV Novembre 15.
Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 the entrance will be dedicated to the public, while Monday 13 will be dedicated mainly to industry operators with a focus on the Ho.Re.Ca sector.
New this year will be the presence of a guest wine: Freisa. Grape variety of the year 2022, Freisa shares part of its DNA with Grignolino, hence the idea of making it a travel companion thanks to the support of the Più Freisa Association.
As in all our events, we have also thought about food. This year our partner will be the Silos restaurant, a sincere cuisine from Turin that will study captivating dishes to pair with the two grape varieties.
MASTERCLASS
In the upper room of the restaurant Il Bagatto in Grazzano Badoglio.
Three different large tastings will be held in this edition.
An institutional tasting organized by AIS Piemonte and conducted by the regional President Mauro Carosso will be held on Monday.
On Saturday, the tasting organized by the Consorzio di tutela vini Colline del Monferrato Casalese in collaboration with the Monferace Association and with the support of the Consorzio Gran Monferrato and conducted by Paolo Massobrio, an Italian journalist, writer and food and wine expert, as well as the creator of “Golosaria”.
On Sunday, it will be possible to participate in the other in-depth study, curated by the Association of Producers of Grignolino d’Asti Doc and Piemonte Doc Grignolino with the support of the Consorzio Barbera d’Asti e vini del Monferrato conducted by the wine blogger Francesco Saverio Russo.

The event will be covered by contributions from Langhe TV and Cantina Social, which will also dedicate two collateral initiatives to the event: an aperitif based on Grigolino on Saturday evening and a subsequent event that will bring the wine as protagonist to the wine shop of the Mercato Centrale in Turin.
